Contemporary Asian Theater Scene (CATS) is celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage month by bringing you Ukulele Fest with the awesome sounds from ukulele star, Kris Fuchigami! Kris’ program last year was so successful that they are bringing him back for an encore performance! His song, BRAVE is currently a finalist for the “Instrumental Composition of the Year” in this year’s coveted Na Hoku Hanohano award!
CATS is also presenting Bay Area native, Jake Shimada, who is a high school junior at Milpitas High School. He has performed ukulele with both local and Hawaiian musical artists as well as composing his own music.
Special announcement: You must register and be present for the event for a chance to win a Romero Creations Grand Tenor ukulele from Ukulele Source!

"My father and I had a wonderful time spending the afternoon at the Chinese American Historical Museum. The presentation that the teens put on about the history of the Chinese working on the railroads and the racial injustice was very well done...We enjoyed talking with everyone so much and learned a lot while we were there."
