On February 12, 2021, the Asian community will celebrate the Lunar New Year, 4719 on Chinese calendars, which is Year of the Ox.

The ox is the second animal of the Chinese Zodiac. In Chinese culture, the ox is a valued animal and because of its role in agriculture, the ox is considered hardworking and honest.  People born in the Year of the Ox are strong, reliable, patient, and methodical. Although they say little, they can be very opinionated. They believe strongly in themselves and can be very stubborn.

Chinese New Year celebrations traditionally run from Chinese New Year’s Eve, the last day of the last month of the Chinese calendar, to the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first month, while some may celebrate up to a month.
