Pioneering the Valley: The Chinese American Legacy in Santa Clara Valley

CHCP’s traveling exhibit, Pioneering the Valley: The Chinese American Legacy in Santa Clara Valley, is a 14-panel color display depicting the history and contributions of the Chinese in Santa Clara Valley through photographs and text. Produced by CHCP in 2011, and created by Gordon Chun Design of Berkeley, California, the 14 panels mount on two sides of a folding display unit that stands 7 feet tall and about 15 feet across.

CHCPtravelingExhibitPioneering the Valley: The Chinese American Legacy in Santa Clara Valley, premiered on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Chinese American Historical Museum at History Park, San Jose.  Each panel was hung individually in the Pacific Hotel Gallery through January 30, 2012.

The traveling exhibit was featured in the San Jose Mercury News on July 2, 2014 in an article titled:  Saratoga: Exhibit explores story of Chinese immigrants.
