I had never heard the story of Lau Sing Kee until the New York Times featured him in its “Overlooked No More” series. His beautiful daughter Beatrice looks justifiably proud of her father, a man whose life story is particularly relevant today. Lau Sing Kee is remembered as a hero in the war overseas and at home in times of peace. I hope to learn more about him.
"My father and I had a wonderful time spending the afternoon at the Chinese American Historical Museum. The presentation that the teens put on about the history of the Chinese working on the railroads and the racial injustice was very well done...We enjoyed talking with everyone so much and learned a lot while we were there."
